Explosion-proof crane is a crane that can be used safely in explosive environments. It uses special explosion-proof electrical equipment and structural design to avoid generating electrical sparks or excessive temperatures. There are many types of explosion-proof cranes, such as explosion-proof hoist bridge crane, explosion-proof electric single beam crane, explosion-proof electric double beam crane, etc. Explosion-proof cranes are widely used in petroleum, chemical, military and other industries.

The performance of explosion-proof crane mainly depends on its explosion-proof grade and type. The explosion-proof rating is divided according to the danger degree of explosive gas or dust. Generally, there are four grades, respectively I, IIA, IIB and IIC1. The explosion-proof type is divided according to the different explosion-proof measures adopted by the electrical equipment of the crane. Generally, there are eight types, respectively, flameproof type (d), safety type (i), dust explosion-proof type, positive pressure type (p), increased safety type (e), oil immersed type (o), sand filling type (q) and casting type (m). Different explosion-proof grade and type correspond to different igniting temperature and minimum spark energy, so it is necessary to choose the appropriate explosion-proof crane according to the specific working environment.

The type of explosion-proof crane is mainly divided according to its structure and function, there are generally three types, respectively explosion-proof double beam bridge crane, explosion-proof electric single beam crane and explosion-proof electric hoist bridge crane 23. These three types are explosion-proof electric hoist lifting mechanism, but in the span, work level, load capacity and other aspects are different. The details are as follows:

Explosion-proof double-beam bridge crane: Span 7.5-31.5 meters, working class A3-A5, load capacity 5-75 tons.
Explosion-proof electric single beam driving: span 7.5-22.5 meters, working level A3-A4, load capacity 1-20 tons.
Explosion-proof electric hoist bridge crane: span 7.5-22.5 meters, working level A3-A4, load capacity 1-10 tons.
